About this campground
Tucked into the spruce forest along beautiful Tolsona Creek, Tolsona Wilderness Campground offers a peaceful Alaska camping experience just 15 miles west of Glennallen at Mile 173 of the Glenn Highway.
Choose from wooded RV sites with water and 30/50-amp electric service, tent sites, creekside and premium beach sites, or yurts. Campground amenities include bathrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a dump station, Wi-Fi in many areas, a camp store, playground, dog park and sand volleyball court.
There’s plenty to do without leaving camp. Fish or relax along Tolsona Creek, rent a tube for a float when creek conditions allow, join one of the campground’s themed weekends and family activities, or enjoy Saturday night live music during peak season. Toby’s Coffee Hut serves coffee, snacks and shave ice right at the campground.
Located about a mile off the highway, Tolsona gives travelers the feeling of getting out into the Alaska wilderness while still having the campground amenities that make an extended stay comfortable. It’s a great base for exploring Glennallen, the Copper River Valley and the surrounding region—or simply slowing down for a few days beside the creek.
