Taking the Cassiar Highway to Alaska? Shady Rest RV Park in Houston, British Columbia, is a welcoming stop along Highway 16, the Yellowhead. Put the rig in park and enjoy some northern BC hospitality!
Between Prince George and Terrace, this family-owned campground welcomes travelers heading toward Alaska, exploring northern British Columbia, or continuing to the Pacific Coast.
Shady Rest has 38 sites: 21 full-hookup 30-amp sites, 5 full-hookup 15-amp sites, 6 dry sites, and 6 unserviced overflow sites, plus 4 additional 15-amp overflow spaces. Pull-through and back-in sites fit rigs up to 75 feet. Tent camping, dry camping, and covered shelters are available.
You’ll appreciate complimentary high-speed fiber-optic Wi-Fi, with an upgraded option, eight private bathrooms with free hot showers, laundry, a dump station, and a large off-leash dog area. Up to 3 dogs are welcome per site.
Relax around a campfire, in the community gazebo, or on nearby walking trails. Picnic tables, firewood, a communal fire pit, and fire pits at select sites are available.
Winterized sites, seasonal RV storage, extended stays, and limited winter camping by arrangement are available. Open May through September. Reservations are by phone or the contact form.
