Pinochle Trail Campground

Located in Glacier View near the Matanuska Glacier, Pinochle Trail Campground offers a simple, scenic Alaska camping experience right at the Pinochle Trailhead. Surrounded by mountain views and wide-open country, the campground is a great basecamp for travelers who want to get off the highway and into the outdoors. Guests can hike or ride directly from camp, with access for ATVs, mountain bikes, four-wheelers and other backcountry recreation.

Pinochle Trail Campground features 25 camping spaces, each with a picnic table and fire ring, with room for RVs, tents, trucks and other camping setups. The campground also offers two rental cabins, each furnished with a queen bed, two bunks and a coffee counter. This is a more rustic, self-sufficient Alaska camping experience: guests should bring their own water and are asked to pack out their garbage.
