About this campground

Moose Crossing RV & Food Truck Park is a locally owned Alaska campground in Sterling, conveniently located along the Sterling Highway between Anchorage and Homer and just minutes from the world-famous Kenai River.

RV sites offer full hookups with 30-amp power, water and sewer, with pull-through and big-rig-friendly options available. Guests also enjoy clean private restrooms, hot showers, laundry, Wi-Fi and a dog park for four-legged travelers.

One of the things that makes Moose Crossing different is the food. Onsite food trucks serve up meals, espresso and sweet treats, and the covered outdoor pavilion gives campers and locals a place to eat, relax and visit. There’s also a community fire pit for enjoying those long Alaska summer evenings.

The Moose and Kenai Rivers are just minutes away for fishing and kayaking, while Soldotna, Cooper Landing, Skilak Lake, hiking and some of the Kenai Peninsula’s best outdoor adventures are all within easy reach.

Whether you’re stopping for a night or settling in to explore the Peninsula, Moose Crossing makes a comfortable, friendly Alaska basecamp.
